Our old-fashioned main lodge is the center of activity, with its large common room, full service dining room and lounge, Gift and Fly Shop, and eight cozy, air-conditioned rooms. The lodge’s collection of trophy mounts and baskets of photos tell the rich story of years gone by. You’ll find the common room a wonderful place to exchange stories, work on a jigsaw puzzle or just relax. Old acquaintances rekindle friendships and many new friends are made here year after year.
Our parents, Tony and Connie Caron (above) bought the lodge in 1982. Entering our 30th season, we look forward to continuing Tall Timber as your "Northwoods Tradition."

The Rainbow Grille & Tavern offers exceptional food in a relaxed North Woods atmosphere. It's the perfect spot for a romantic candlelight dinner for two or an enjoyable dinner with the family. Tall Timber's vacation cabin and lodge room rentals include a variety of comfortably furnished one to four bedroom retreats ranging from rustic lakeshore log cabins to the finest luxury cottages in the Connecticut Lakes Region. Cathedral ceilings, gas fireplaces, two-person Jacuzzis, telephones, and kitchens with dishwashers are among the many available amenities. Private porches and decks provide scenic views and are only steps from the spring-fed lake.
A four-season sporting camp resort, Tall Timber offers licensed professional guides for the fly fishing and bird hunting enthusiasts, and highly respected fly fishing schools are hosted here each year. Spa services and boat and snowmobile rentals will complete your North Woods adventure.
